Midieval Romance

I personally do not like reading in general, but when it comes to English literature, knights, chivalry, and magic believe me i don"t love it. I find the language very difficult to understand and a lot of the story lines far fetched. I'm not saying i don't appreciate what the knights had to go through and fight face to face and hand on hand because i could not do it. But it just does not keep my attention so it makes it hard for me to focus on the material. Also it is not very common to come across something you enjoy reading in school, so i can tell you i have definitely read worse stories and books in my time. I love Mrs. White :)

The Fifth Child

I liked the second cover for the book The Fifth Child. It showed a person on the cover of the book who was unhappy, which was exactly how this family ended up. Harriet and David wanted a lot of children and got that, unfortunately for them the last child was trouble.I feel that the second book cover fits the description of the book the best because i think that Ben is the person who is shown on this cover, it is not a normal looking child. Ben was a huge baby with abnormally large muscles and was very rough. "...Poor little beast, his mother disliking him so much . . . but she heard herself say nervously, though she tried to laugh. "He is like a troll or goblin or something." (Lessing, pg 49). That is why i think the second book cover fits best.

Our inner Monster

In the article we read in class i agree with what was said. I completely agree that if you were startled you would possibly lash out with anger or rage. There is no way the monster was supposed to know that Victors assistant wants going to hurt him. Also the monster was not accepted by anyone anywhere so he had no choice but to be angry with everyone. Put yourself in the situation of the creature, what would you do if you had no home, any understanding of the English language, or any place to get food or water? It is not as easy as you would think.

Frankenstein

The story Frankenstein by Mary Shelly is an interesting novel. I like how she had Victor create the creature and have him feel like God. he secluded himself from everything in the outside world, loved ones, friends, professors, and everyone he was in contact with. Once the creature gets loose he immediately kills victor's brother, this is the first of m any losses that victor experiences. I really like how Mary Shelly used the word sickness all throughout the novel. victor becomes ill many times during this book, he gets emotionally sick from the loss of his brother, his best friends, his wife, and his father. All of these deaths were from the moster that he had created.
Now that his creation ha caused all then death and distruction he feels horrible about it anf regrets ever creating it. I was also happy that victor chose to not make the wife for the monster because that would have ended up badly. Who knows what could have happened if they made children, they could have taken many many lives with no thought to it at all. All in all i liked the book, and was pleased with how it ended. Lets just hope that walton keeps up his end of the deal and follws the monster.
